OVERVIEW:
IN A WORLD where humans live side by side with the things that go bump in the night Walter Karinov and Simi’tha Greene are detectives that exercise entities and send them back to hell, and capture their summoners.
Walter Karinov | Not human | 4/23/1984
Detective
Walter has a strange and mysterious lineage; He cannot be harmed by anything other than a demon. One night, he was attacked - and for the first time, actually injured- by a rogue demon that had escaped its summoner. From that moment on, he couldn’t get that thrill out of his head, he had no choice, he became a private detective, worked through the ranks until he broke through into the Demonic Homicide dept at Oculus Agency to hunt and defeat demons.

Walter is extremely claustrophobic • He's a player, a flirt, and manages to stay friends with his exes • He was a mechanic, and still loves to relax while repairing cars • He was adopted, then he was a runaway • Animals hate him, it must be his non-human blood • Used to have a crush on his roommate but he is better now.
Simi Greene | Human | 10/17/1983
Detective
Simi'tha is a jack of all trades; EMT to army doc, social worker, to lawyer, to detective. She's done it all, and seen too much. She started at Oculus in the Incorporeal Dept, but after being oppressed then possessed by a demon, she transferred to Demonic Homicide hoping to come to terms with her fear, and to stop it from happening to others.

Elliot Ward | Human (Demonic vessel) | 2/14/1990
Nurse
Elliot immigrated from northern England, where he trained as a nurse. His career allowed him to cut deals with local vampire covens to smuggle blood for them, for a LOT of cash. Once he got enough for his top surgery, he left to America. Here he continued this same pattern until he was caught- now hes on probation. Somewhere shortly in between, he was possessed by a demon; one that he believes hasn't fully left his body.

Nadine | Succubus | 1/19/1978
Politician
Nadine is a succubus. She sought to break the mold surrounding her kind; They have been othered as parasites constantly subjugated into sex work. The injustice stoked a fire in her. She became a champion for monsters everywhere by becoming a County Representative. She observes human and Not relations to make sure that all monsters are treated fairly.

Loves her real appearance • Infamous as a ruthless arbiter • Moms nickname for her is “Starling” • Simi is the only one who can see her real form all the time • A hobby horticulturist- loves poisonous and carnivorous plants • Has a bodyguard on retainer, but since the bodyguard confessed her feelings she distanced herself
Charlie Ott | Vampire | 8/18/1926
Clerk
Charlie was turned in the 1940s, after nearly dying in the second world war. He was found by a coven of French vampires, and sired by a woman named Vivienne. Vivienne and her coven took him in until well after the war ended- he only left when he figured out that Viv held a love for him that he just couldn’t reciprocate. He headed back to America to start over in the 1960's, and to fight for civil rights of monsters like himself. He currently is a clerk at a prestigious vampire social club called Societié, serving the elders there.
TRIVIA
Terrible judge of character • Works many many odd jobs besides clerk, like construction • Venom causes a drug-like high when he bites (so he doesn’t) • Loves driving • Speaks English, French and some Spanish, tries to learn elders languages

Calm Leader type. Very analytical, very good at finding and exposing a problem.
Siren
Cocky for a reason. Highly skilled, confident, but always used for other’s benefit. Never. Again.
Beau
Excitable, strong type. Bright when he is in the zone, brain off when out of it. Secret genius himbo.
Maelys
Punk to the core. Resistant to joining the team at first. Vicious, protective, competitive.
